She needed to speed up the computation of the gradient direction in waveform inversion and came to me to formalise the representation theorem for this specific case. Aline taught tutorials in my seismology course and actively took part in writing the lecture notes open to all students. She works at OPeRA (Organisme Pétrolier de Recherche Appliquée), a research organisation in seismic imaging for the oil industry, born from a partnership between ADERA, TOTAL and UPPA (Université de Pau et des Pays de l’Adour).
